Aindra Dasa has gone back to Godhead + Quotes on death

I never really knew Aindra Prabhu. Never heard much about him, never met him, never read about him. Today, when I logged on to Facebook, I saw everyone's statuses talking about a great soul's disappearance. Only recently had I downloaded a whole bunch of albums from www.iskconmedia.com. Aindra Prabhu's recordings were put up there, along with a picture of him. I never knew much about him but I still feel deeply touched. Perhaps because we are all part of God's family. Aindra Prabhu was found in his room, offering his dandavat pranams to the Lord. How fortunate, isn't it? For one who thinks of Krishna at the time of death, he surely attains Krishna's eternal abode. It seems there was a gas leak and he lit a match. I read that he probably tried to open a window but failed, and so he surrendered himself completely to the Lord. Looks like Krishna thought it was time to take him back home. He is now with Krishna, serving him with love and devotion, and in his eternal association. I feel so touched by this. I am shaken. I guess we think that people will live forever. Somehow we think this material body will last forever. That things will never change. It will all be the same, forever.

Our time will come one day. We need to be prepared. Krishna will call us anytime and we need to run into his arms in an instant.

Aindra Prabhu will be remembered for his loving devotion to Krishna, as an example to all of us, the embodiment of devotion to God. He will live in our hearts. He has left the great gift of love for God behind, the great gift of sankirtana.

Feel this urgency, everyone. Feel this urgency. Our names can be called anytime. And we will have to present ourselves before Krishna. Live your life the way Krishna would like you to live. So that when the time comes to meet Him, you'll be ready. And you'll have wonderful gifts for Him. The gifts of love and devotion and surrender. Use the prescribed method to prepare:

Always think of Me and become My devotee. Worship Me and offer your homage unto Me. Thus you will come to Me without fail. I promise you this because you are My very dear friend.     - Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 18, Verse 65
