Vegetarianism

I've been a vegetarian now for around 1 year and a few months. And PROUD!

How I became a vegetarian:

Once, I looked down into my plate of chicken, thinking, "This used to be ALIVE a while ago, running around in a farm, moving, walking, breathing, playing... and now it's in my PLATE." I couldn't deal with

VEGETARIANS BEWARE OF MAGGI!

Yes, yes, I feel your pain. If you're a vegetarian that doesn't eat eggs or fish, please, stay away from Maggi noodles! I live in Dubai, and I have been eating Maggi Curry for so long... I LOVE that flavor... Alas, my heart it quaked, the moment it was revealed to me, that Maggi "may contain traces of fish and crustacean". LIKE OMG WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY! Even the Vegetable flavoured Maggi Noodles have traces of fish and crustacean! What part of "VEGETABLE" do they not get?

Helping the Helpless and Loving the Faithless

I was browsing on this Hare Krishna website and I happened to come across this video filed under "Hare Krishna Today". This video is titled "Africa" and the short description given on the website is as follows:

So I checked out the video and boy, was I amazed. While the Hare Krishnas preached to the people of Africa and tried to make them realize what who their souls were calling out for, they also provided them with entertainment and foodstuff. One of the Hare Krishnas in the video said something along the lines of making a difference and making their lives better, not just preaching. And that, my friends, just hit me right there.
