Dream of Radhanath Swami

To what do I owe this splendid dream of a guru that I love so much?

Yesterday morning, I woke up feeling just splendid upon having seen Radhanath Swami in my dreams.

I dreamt that he had come for an event at someone's house and I was talking to him. He held my hand and he was looking at it, and I realized that I had put my watch on upside down. I said, "Oh! My watch is upside down!" And Radhanath Swami said, "Let's fix that, shall we?" He then tapped my watch with two fingers, and did a flipping motion with his fingers and in an instant my watch was the correct side up! I screamed and I was all like, "Oh my goodness! Look what just happened!!!" I was really happy. I was thinking that he had performed a little magical miracle. Radhanath Swami just smiled. And I left from there running around, jumping with excitement. Upon hearing what happened, another lady ran with her watch to see if Radhanath Swami would do the same, but he smiled and politely told her he would not want to do so.

I really felt so happy that I dreamt of Radhanath Swami. Maybe it was due to the fact that I was talking about his book to someone the previous night, and on this past Wednesday. Whatever it is, I'm just so grateful. I love Radhanath Swami so much. I love his kirtans, I love his lectures, the peaceful smile on his face, his journey to Krishna Consciousness... aah, I just wish I could see him in person one day. I want to fall at his feet a hundred times. My dear Krishna, please bless your pure devotee Radhanath Swami abundantly.

  1. Lucky, lucky you! :-)

I wonder if I could ask you about your everyday spiritual/devotional practices. Do you follow a fixed routine - ( for eg - wake up, shower, chant?)
Or is it more flexible ?

  2. Oh it's rather flexible actually. I have very bad attention so I'm trying not to overwhelm myself with chanting. I'm on holiday now, so I wake up (not at a fixed time), I pray my personal prayers, then I chant for a while. Then I go about doing my daily duties. Sometimes I go out in the evenings, so I try to chant again in the middle of the day and at night before I go to bed, to complete my rounds. I try to keep my daily number of rounds consistent, gradually increasing by one round every 2 weeks. Lately I have also been reading the Mahabharata so I do that whenever I get some free time. One senior devotee recently told me to make my reading habits more regular rather than just doing it whimsically so I try to read everyday.

I do tend to read online as well, on websites like www.krishna.com, or Facebook devotional pages.

Once a week I go for a class on the Bhagavad Gita as well.
